Before we left we went to Corky's. There is nothing healthy about it, but you don't understand HOW FREAKING GOOD the food is. I mean it really is legit southern BBQ. Here is the tour:
)
Obvious, the outside...but I do have a question: why do they put the animal you are eating as the restaurant character?
)
This is the actual LA times paper from when Kennedy was shot. Pretty cool even tough the tacky Budweiser sign is messing it up.
)
Even though I am from LA where every restaurant has the "Celebrity wall", I picked a few that I was stoked to see. Here is Tennessee's own JT
)
Jerry West! Dude!
)
Here is Pau Gasol before we stole him from the Grizzlies. HAHA!
)
The dinning room. SUPER text book with plastic floral table clothes and all. Love it.
)
OK, every where in Memphis they
milk the Elvis thing. It's hilarious. Funny thing is that the locals could carer less about him, though they appreciate the historical aspect.
)
Last but certainly not least, my dinner. Memphis dry ribs with baked beans and coleslaw. J had the sweet tea. YUMMMMMMM!
